Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Residents' Committee Criteria

    can anybody tell me the exact criteria needed to set up a residents committee in a private estate, can somebody just set one up without been elected or notifying other residents or do they have to be elected? etc. have no idea of the politics involved and would like to know to avoid confusion, can two members of one household be on the committee?

    There is no criteria. A resident's association are just a group of people working together.

    So, you can do as you want, as a resident's association have no formal structure nor legal basis.

    Most though, tend to have elections and elect a committee.

    Nothing stopping it, but it could be unhealthy. Certainly, it would likely be appropriate if those people were signatories on the bank account or both held important officerships. However, one has to ask, are they getting the job done?
