    fight night london

first thoughts here was to lump on the pickett barnatt nelson treble
but I dont know nelsons opponent or barnatts but nelson is very
talented and barnatt looked really good against craig last time out

been having a bit of luck with methods so doing singles on all of these
    best prices taken
level stakes on first four fights

    Pickett by sub 9/4 boyles
he wins early imo albeit by ko or sub
most of seerys losses have been by sub

    nelson by decision 37/13 888sport
to be honest I don't know how nelson is gonna win this
but I like the price (if he wins at all that is)

    barnatt by ko 3/1 ladbrokes
My head says points but this is 7/4 best elsewhere to
going for a bit of value
looked great against craig, really surprised me there having
    backed craig that night

Diabate by decision 5/2 888 sport
latifi looks dangerous but diabate has been long enough
at this game to stay out of trouble with his size and reach
    to hopefully win by decision

    accum at 120/1

small single on manuwa by points at 12s paddy

its a longshot considering hes never been past two rounds but
he hasnt been tested and is very much an unknown quantity
Its still very hard to see him winning any other way if he does win when
the likes of gus has gone five with jones

    good luck all

    good luck all
    small loss
    disappointing after a perfect start
wish i'd lumped on the treble now

condit decision my only bet so far

had contemplated lumping on the condit lombard double but
jake shields let me down for nice bets when he beat maia
and woodley when I gave him no chance of beating woodley

Absolutely raped by the condit injury as I'm sure
    a lot more were

on big double for me at 11/10 betvic
    I'm due one
expecting ferreira to be too good for cb and
think rua will beat dan esp in brazil
just have a feeling dan is past it though rua
    probably not too far behind

    Mauricio Rua @ 2/5
(To Win the Bout - Match)
    Cezar Ferreira @ 1/2
(To Win the Bout - Match)

I've done 2 trebles for tomorrow nights card in Brazil :

    Dan Henderson @ 2/1
    Scott Jorgensen @ 8/15
    Rony Mariano Bezerra @ 4/7

    ( Just over 6/1 )

    &

    Norman Parke @ 2/5
    Gian Villante @ 7/10
    Mairbek Taisumov @ 3/10

    (Just over 2/1 )

Im hoping Henderson goes out with a bang especially as he's the last fighter to get a TRT exemption! Hard to split Villante & Maldonado , the fight really could go either way. Parke & Taisumov should both be good enough to win while Rony Jason will hopefully bounce back from his loss to Jeremy Stephens . Jorgensen should get his first win at 125 though its not a foregone conclusion as he didnt impress in his 125 debut against Makovsky.

    .

took these two to win on pts at almost 6/1

added ferreira pts to those two for a 24/1 treble
dolloway is tough if nothing else but I think hes up
    against it here

think villante will earn a comfortable pts decision with little
    chance of him finishing mold

jorgenson pts the only other one I like but i've enough done and
    its only 11/8

For all interested, it's worthy to check his tips on regular basis - http://embomma.blogabet.com/

His history there is maybe short, but I know his previous work on polish forum and he really knows his stuff.

    poirier by ko 11/8 boyles

saver on poirier by sub 14/5 boyles

Taking Olivier Mercier at 8/11. I'm not buying the "next GSP" thing at all but I think Chad is a bit one dimensional and Mercier will outwork him.

    UFC 172 :

My main bet on this card is for the Danny Castillo vs Charlie Brenneman fight to be finished in under 2.5 rounds at 11/10. Brenneman has been knocked out 3 times in the UFC & has lost his last 3 fights with the UFC also. Danny Castillo is coming off the back of a great performance against Edson Barboza which he lost by decision so will be hungry to avenge that loss.

I've also done a treble of

    Danny Castillo @ 4/11
    Andre 'Touchy' Fili @ 8/13
    Anthony 'Rumble' Johnson @ 9/5

I'm also contemplating backing Jon Jones to win by decision at 5/2 and for his fight vs Glover to go over 3.5 rounds at 13/10.

main bet for me is gomi decision at 5/4
I dont rate flagg at all and see no way he can
    win this
he is durable though and hasnt been stopped in
a very long time but gomi by far the better striker and
it looks very much to me like this will remain standing

went for davis dec also at 43/20
seemed like very good odds for a lad whos been
playing is safe for a very long time
just a tad worried about aj being subbed though and
have a small saver on that at 5/2
wouldnt mind being wrong about that one

    lastly took 4/1 on tex
dunno what to expect but that price looks a bit of value

That Davis decision looks great odds

That Davis decision looks great odds

    It looks it alright
I expected 6/4 tops but to get over 2/1 seem to
good to be true (888 sport)

couple of wild guesses on tex round 1 at 20s and round 2 at 25s

if it happens for tex then maybe itll be early

Does Duke train with Rousey does anyone know? Thinking of taking a punt on her at 10/11. She's a big chick who likes to box and her opponent is tiny so I think she could just jab her to death.

Sound. I'll go with her so.

Duke was awful. Fair play to Correia though she worked hard.

went for the double of the hulk and koch which pays a
    little under evens

    struggling to see either beat
think koch is a level above cruix myself and from what
Ive seen of ruan potts I think he'll struggle everywhere
to beat sao unless he can somehow sub him which seems
    very unlikely to me

single on matt brown at 2s also simply because its too big
Think these two are very evenly matched and ill give it
to brown if it stays standing
If silva goes to ground I think it could be silvas

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,846 ✭✭✭discombobulate

Definitely agree with you on Brown being overpriced against an overpriced Silva

    Two singles

really like over 2.5 rounds in the miocic maldo fight at 5/6 (pp)
I can't see miocic putting maldo away as hes not really the
type go in for the kill esp against one of the toughest fighters
in mma who's fighting in front of him home crowd...you just know
he'll die trying if nothing else
when tex battered him for two rounds only for the doctor to
stop it then i'd be pretty sure miocic wont inflict that much damage
in the space of two rounds

    smaller stake on
    carmont pts 2/1 (betv)
the fight with souza last time out has me thinking that carmont
will handle cb and I cant for the life of me see him getting caught
like ferraira did last time out
Looks a very close contest and it may not be pretty but carmont
    for me to take this
If he doesnt itll certainly be the last time I look past cb

Any thoughts for 178 lads? Main one sticking out to me is zinganoband nunes not to go to a decision. Priced at 11/10 in ladbrokes.

Only one of nunes 12 fights have gone 3 and one of zinganos from 8.

Also the fighters they went to decisions with had high decision ratios for their fights.
