Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I bought a roll of string yesterday, it delcared it was
environmentaly freindly - on the plastic and card packaging!

This product could have been sold "bare" with just a sticker on the inside of the roll for branding.

You can buy hardly anything loose anymore. If we're serious about cleaning our act up then the government should pass some laws to cut down on the vast amount of plastic and card used to flog product.

    Mike.

Although I agree with you, I would assume the packing is to maintain quality and possibly for hygene reasons?

Yeah and petrol companies are 'working for a cleaner environment'.

The string was probably made from some sort of recycled source.

Maybe so, but if that was such an issue our parents/grandparents would have all keeled over by now!

I think its all down to branding myself, as one razor
blade company tries to outshine another with its glitzy design
    and colour scheme.
