    Maybe but, to me, there has to something plausible to hang it on. Like there's only so many times that's its credible for the underdog to surmount the odds. After a little while he's got to be the favourite.



    IMHO good music tacked onto poor or weak films lives on its own merits. Whereas average music accompanying a great story gains from that.

    Yes, from what I understand, it's Dollys biggest success and signature song (as she says.) She ends every performance with it. For the many people who re-recorded it, Elvis was not one - his manager required a release of her rights to the song and she (wisely) didn't give in.
