Elspeth is literally the greatest thing to have happened to radio in a long time. Her musical knowledge is out of this world.

I'd happily see her on one of the non-RTÉ mainstream stations if the pay was a bit better.

Rich Walters is in for Ross Buchanan tonight. This means that, from 2am tonight, Ireland's own Michael Lavin will be doing SIX HOURS straight. That's pretty good going.

So Jack's gone... Toby new mid mornings host. I think it was only a matter of time. Does this suggest Issy Panayis promoted to early breakfast, Michael Lavin to overnights Sun-Tue and maybe Elspeth Pierce or someone else on weekend breakfast?

Update: I have heard a rumour that former Absolute presenter George Godfrey might be lined up for the slot!!! Only time will tell...

Thanks. Still don't think Issy Panayis will be kept on in the 4am slot permanently, and they will hire a new presenter for the show. George Godfrey would be ideal, although if he is getting the slot he doesn't want to admit it at the moment, hence the "31st April" Tweet.

Jack Wood, formerly of Kerrang! and Key103, will be joining the station from July. It has been speculated that he might be either joining the overnight show, or the early breakfast show as Toby Tarrant's full time replacement. Congrats Jack!!

Apparently the reason JV is on instead of Toby Tarrant is because TT is doing some football show at that time. Toby is on mid mornings though.

George Godfrey is the new official host of the Saturday evening show, 7-10pm. Elspeth Pierce meanwhile is taking over Monday to Wednesday overnights, but Michael Lavin is staying on the weekend 6-8am slot.
