Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi Guys

    Im thinking of getting the henley faro 500 (cassette). is henley a good make?

    Bought a Henley Achill (insert) last May and it's a brilliant little stove! So when we were looking for another stove last month we didn't even look at another brand and got a Henley Druid. Have only lit it a few times but the heat out of it is great.

    Also had a couple of questions (about the best use of the air settings) and found Henley very helpful and easy to contact.

    We have a Henley Oxford 7kw, lovely stove. We have it about a month now and it gives off great heat and cleans easily. Lovely big window on it, sure it's all about seeing the flame ;)

    Hi All

    Do you burn coal in Henley inserts without problems ?

    Also can it take a reasonable sized piece of timber or what is max size it can take ?

    Hear a lot of conflicting info between whether steel or cast iron stoves are better :confused:

    We've never tried coal. We use a combination of turf and logs (mix of hardwood and softwood) and for the size of the room we have it in (6m x 4m) once we get the initial fire going nicely we only need to keep it ticking over at well below capacity to have the room warm enough. It gives great heat for the amount of fuel consumed and I don't think we could stick the heat if we tried coal.

    Check out the stove specs at henleystoves.com, I think they have the max log sizes there.

    I was looking at this in a showroom today. How many radiators are you heating of it?

    Afaik, Henley Stoves are chinee jobs, assembled and badged in Tralee. Cheap, a little flakey (IMHO), but do what they’re supposed to do: heat room space.
