Final score Crusaders 66-0 Rebels. Scoreline describes the game.

Retallick confirms two year break from NZ after the RWC. He'll be heading to Japan for 2020 and 2021 before returning to stake a claim for RWC 2023.

Best case scenario other than staying in NZ. Japanese Top League is the polar opposite of the Top14 in number of games and style of play.

Landers doing enough to make the playoffs this morning, with a 49 - 12 win over the tahs...

probably leave the placing either 6th or 7th which would mean either away to jags or brumbies.

    some interesting games coming up.

Think they still need chiefs not to win with a bonus point to go through first.

yeah i just checked.... it goes down to wins before points difference which has big implications.

a chiefs TBP win will put them ahead
Bulls are already ahead no matter what
a lions LBP puts them ahead
a stormers win puts them ahead
a sharks win puts them ahead
a rebels win puts them ahead

so im shouting for a narrow chiefs win here :D

With the squad they have, the Rebels have been a disgrace the last few weeks. Can't tackle and don't look like they are bothered at all.

Good try from the rebels. Too bad about the scoreline

The standard of rugby has been diabolical

Really entertaining watching the Canes come back to be leading this. Savea having to play on the wing, due to injuries.

29-24 win for the Canes. Blues are just brainless.

    Competely....

You'd have to wonder how true the " b barrett to the blues" rumour is.

    Close enough first half.

Defense is creaking a bit though.

Yeah it really feels like you need them to have an off day, while being lucky and throwing everything at them at the same time

Well done to the Jaguares beating the Chiefs and getting a home semi.

The Canes v Bulls is an enjoyable match so far.

Tasty semi final on the way

Love to see the Jaguares go all the way - they play great rugby - and once again Argentina peaking at the right time , just before a WC (unlike Ireland)

Brumbies off to a great start, up 14-3 after 12 minutes.
Of course the norm is they fall asleep next and let the other team back into it although they do have a great record against the Sharks so that mightn't happen today.

Jaguars thump the brumbies to make the final. Superb effort from them. Saw the regular season fixture and didn’t think the Jaguars were good enough to progress that far but think they are on an 8 game winning streak or so now.

Now for the big game. Crusaders v hurricanes

It seems to me the rucks have become a mess the last few weeks. Players not allowing the tackled player time to place the ball. The tackler not rolling away and jumping up and playing the ball even if they are in an offside position. Players coming in from the side.

Hope Jordie gets a decent crack at fullback for the AB's this year. Would prefer him over McKenzie going into the RWC.

  • Registered Users Posts: 37,512 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Watched the game last night. Everytime I get to see Bonilla play I'm more impressed. He controlled the game last night with great decision making and great kicking.
Crusaders on top 13-5 at halftime, anything could happen in this one. Hurricanes win and the final is in Argentina.

    Mckenzie won't be there.

    Ben Smith will though.

    13-7 at half time.

Crusaders could have been home and dry only for their own words, handling and line outs pretty poor.

Hurricanes have to stop kicking to the Saders back three
