This is the story of a gunstock wood dealer in Los Vegas, Nevada. I have purchased wood from Cecil over the years and have visited his business on any trip to Vegas.
All the wood is air dried in the Nevada desert and is incredibly low in moisture content. Many folks in the stocking trade have commented that their moisture gauges read zero! Because of this the wood is very hard: ones tools have to be even sharper than normal and loose their edge quickly.
I think he has 30,000 plus stock blanks in inventory.

    Enjoy

Wow. That man is in the 'right place at the right time'. Claro walnut was originally started as a tree graft to boost walnut production. Turns out that it makes glorious timber as well.
