Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi All,

    Please sign the petition for early release of the 1926 Irish census.

    We only have the 1901 and 1911, the rest were destroyed in fire or pulped during the world war. The 1926 census is also the first census taken as a free state. The law is currently states a 100 years must pass before releasing this information, its an old law and was put in place as rarely people lived to 100 years. We still have people alive today which were around for the 1911 census possibly even the 1901.

    We the undersigned petition the Taoiseach [Prime Minister] of Ireland, Mr. Brian Cowen TD, to use the powers vested in his office under section 33 (3) of the Statistics Act 1993 to release the complete returns for the 1926 census
