    goin to give fly fishing a go have a rod sage graphite iii and with a house of hardy ultralite disc 7 reel i got off my uncle who used fish river moy all his life until he passed rod hasnt been used in 16 years id say but both seem in good condition wondering tips for what line or to be pointed right direction thanks

    A standard floating line weighted to match your rod, a tapered leader and some tippet material along with a few flies is all you need to get started. The easiest way to to hook into a few trout is nymphing and once you become confident with your casting you can try upstream dry fly.

    No, there's a lot of specialist nymphers who advocate special rods and leaders etc. but any standard gear is sufficient.

    Not at all, start by fishing a single nymph as it will be much easier for you in the beginning!

    The gear you have is top of the range really. It'll last a lifetime. You've no shortage of options in terms of fishing where you are once Covid restrictions ease.

    thanks im wondering is reel ok it hasnt been used in years i know line is no gud brittle so need put new 1 on it its a 7 weight rod so lookin for tips for backing line and main line
