Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is it possible to find out the year that John Hinde took the photos that would eventually become postcards?

Your question implies that John Hinde took a batch of photos in a particular 'year' (singular) and then, as an afterthought ('eventually'), decided to sell them as post cards.

In fact it was a well established business in which JH photographers went around the country talking photos which were then processed in their studios in Cabinteely. They were based in a building on the Old Bray Road, a few doors down from the Horse and Hound pub and at one point were owned by Waterford Crystal plc.

I doubt that sort of information was ever archived. I know one of the John Hinde photographers and he wouldn't have a clue when photographs were taken.

I wonder did John Hinde himself keep a record of the photos he took. Some postcards have written on them...colour photo by John Hinde. Other postcards have....(name of photographer, John Hinde studios.
