How many GW31 players do you have?

Some fixtures havn't been officially moved yet.

I've gone ahead and used my free hit this week, feck it.

Still have bench boost and triple captain along with wildcard so should be ok I reckon, plenty of options left

Would it be best to use the Free hit this weekend in order to field a full team?

Also I can only see 2 double gameweeks (32 and 35) but both only consist of 2 teams playing twice.

Can anyone advise on when would be best time to use Free hit, bench boost and TC? And wildcard

It really depends on how your current team is set up. Most people are doing one of the following:

If you can field 8 or 9 players this week, save the FH for 32. There will be more doubles announced. Also if you can field a half-decent team this week, you'll likely be okay for the blanks in 33 as well. WC in 34. BB in 35. TC whenever.

If you're badly stuck this week, play the FH. It probably means you're in much better shape for 32 (could be a good week to TC). Hope for the best in 33. WC/BB as above.

Lots of other options though, so it's worth reading back through the thread.

Is it just me or is the whole Blanks & DGW scenario very complicated this year compared to recent seasons???

Haven't a clue what I'm doing at all yet.

Possibly going to have 8 or 9 for GW31 due Lascelles (knee) and Anderson(total loss of talent) probably not featuring.

Leaning towards WC then in GW32, followed by FH in 33, then BB for GW35

When can we expect confirmation of a dgw 32? It seems very soon to be playing fixtures that haven't been scheduled yet, is it due to be announced once the fa cup quarters have been played?

Yeah once the quarters are done. Should be announced on Monday or Tuesday.

    BB?

Yes .........would need to sign a keeper though
Im not ruling it out though
My squad is in rag order for 35 so FH May be better then but pool have Cardiff away......

City not having the DGW next week would make it even more tempting

TC was strongly under consideration too

Am I right in thinking that Watford will likely now have a DGW of Hud and Fulham in 35 (assuming their Sou game is played in DGW32)? That would be tasty if it came to pass.

I'd say Watford will be going gung ho for fa cup particularly if they can avoid man city in the semi final.

Be careful they don't just rest up players

True but they could be out of the cup by GW35 and playing two teams already relegated at that point. Won't be going near them until GW35 and only under favourable circumstances anyway.

Harry Kane is tempting with that Palace game at the new stadium - they will want to get off to a good start there and Arry should be even more desperate than usual to score.

Really looking forward to dropping this FH chip.

Decided on a strategy a few weeks ago (possibly robbed from someone here I think).....

build towards the blanks this week which has been mildly ok I think (40 points), then Wildcard with DGW 32 and 35 in mind, FH in GW 33 then fine tune the squad for BB in GW35.

Is this still a viable option?? Any feedback appreciated...

Would a FH in 33 see u change your team alot from what it is?

I'm actually not sure tbh....have really taken my eye off the ball in the last few weeks.

Must have a proper flute around with that excel sheet when I get a chance

Impossible to see it be any other time tbh.

If City beat Spurs in CL, that’s the only available spot for it.

Hazard will face the #1 (BRI - 9) and #2 (CAR - 7) teams in terms of penalties conceded this year...

He's definitely tempting as a TC option. Brighton may also not put out a full strength team since their FA cup semi is less than 3 days later

    Nothing a -12 won't fix. :pac:

Lesson learned, keep FH for DGW/BGW next season.

I have 12 DGW players and 1 transfer.

I was going to use the TC on Aguero or Sterling, but perhaps I should BB instead with another transfer or two and get more quality and use the TC for the other DGW?

    Patricio - Guaita
    Doherty - Azpil - Duffy - PVA - (Bednarek)
    Sterling - Pogba - Camarasa - (Mane) - (Barnes)
    Rashford - Aguero - Higuain

Although it might be best to keep my transfer to sort GW33 instead!

    WC in 34

I guess I'd just feel dirty having DGW players on my bench and not playing :pac:

  • Registered Users Posts: 805 ✭✭✭SameOleJay

The Wildcard in 34 really works out a beaut, you can very easily manage a full 11 DGWers in 35 (14 with BB) and have a very strong team for the weeks besides.

Are there any standout TC's outside of GW32 though? I have 3 candidates in GW32 and struggling to see anyone else. Aubumeyang for CRY/wol about as good as it gets?

It's a pity Ings is loan-tied for the BGW, would have been a nice.

I'm in a similar boat to you with GW32. Leaving our Cardiff DGW players on the bench is the right call.

All depends on how many points someone gets with their FH, lads last week got 40/50?

I used it in GW19 and got 101. A -12/-16 could easily work out for someone this week, or GW34 for instance.

Yup. I'm delighted that I used my FH last week. Admittedly I kind of had to anyway as I could only field two players or something like that.

Looking at my team now though and it's very well set up for this DGW even before I've made any transfer, plus I do still have the WC left. :):)

WC this week and hope for the best. Hopefully have 9 playing twice and then hopefully 8 playing in week 33

That’s it though. You were either set up for GW31 to FH GW32 or had to FH GW31 and set up for GW32.

I’d be looking at scores over GW31,32 and 33 before deciding if my strategy was right or wrong. Ultimately I don’t think there will be a huge difference

  • Registered Users Posts: 713 ✭✭✭loadwire

Used FH last week (went badly).

Salah -> Haz for GW32 will give me:

    Allison
    Luiz AWB Duffy (Kola, Bednarek)
    Pogba, Sterling, Delofeu, Hazard (Fraser)
    Kun(TC), Zaha, Jimenez

A -4 in GW33 will give me 10 players at the moment - plenty of time for all those plans to go to ruin I know.

Most likely WC in GW34, BB GW35.

    indeed.

the low scoring week that was GW31 has kind of meant that everything should be quite even, unless the people who thought they were fúcked for GW31 also think they're fúcked for GW33.

I'm thinking triple captain this week (I have 7 DGW and 1 free transfer too).

Then work at getting 15 players for week 34 or 35 and playing bench boost. I still have my wildcard. I know I can't use that and bench boost in the same week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,338 ✭✭✭✭PARlance

Think I'm going to use my WC this week (FH already used).

4 subs will have to be BGW players.
    I'll prob have 3 Chelsea
    2 Palace
    1 Pool

With a FT, I will hopefully have 11 then.
Build for BB for the next DGW then.

Using my WC to build for the DGW and the blank GW.

    Looking at 7DGW'ers

    10 players in the blank.

I'm going head first into the double with my WC, have lost awful ground, over 100k places dropped since Jan out to 140k OR. Planning towards the blanks I think caused the majority of my bad calls by holding onto players just for BGW31 and not getting onto the Wolves train which steamed through town.

Have no FH so BGW33 will be a hit and hope with what I have left over after my WC and then BB in DGW35.

Need to stop overthinking on who to get in and just go for it, I'll give it a rest for a week or so unless anyone I have suddenly decides to drop in price rapidly.
