Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

PAYE when working outside ireland

    hi
Ill be working outside of Ireland for an extended period this year (from May), and was outside of Ireland for about 130 days last year.
As far as I know I will not be a tax resident, but my permanent home will remain here.
My income will remain coming from my Irish employer into my Irish bank account, but ill be located in Latin America.

Does anyone know how this would impact me from a tax perspective? Will everything remain the same or would i get some sort of a return for time spent outside of Ireland.
I have seen on revenues website that the country I will be in qualifies for foreign earning deduction (link below). but I'm not sure if my tax residency status would impact that.. Anyone got any insights?

If you stay taxed and USC'd and PRSI'd here then you will have no loss of welfare contributions
