Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Going for 3 nights next month. Looking for tips on the must sees and must dos. Also places to eat/drink. Budget fairly flexible.

    The Wine Museum "La Cite du Vin" is interesting, and a good choice if its raining.
    There's lots of old buildings, churches and museums to visit in Bordeaux so plenty of choice.

    The "Miroir d'Eau" or Water Mirror is located at Place de la Bourse at the water front, most visitors end up here for a bit to get some photo's.
    If you have time, you can book a day bus-trip to St. Emilion and see the vineyards and do a bit of wine tasting. I did that about 2 years ago and really enjoyed it.

    If you like steak and chips go to L'Entrecote restaurant, just keep in mind that there's usually a queue to get in..

    Rue St. Catherine (pedestrianized street) is great if you want to do some shopping.

    Visit the Le Corbusier houses. In the suburbs but easy public transport.
    The Aquitaine museum was really good.

    Get a travel pass for tram system. Good way to see city and outskirts... especially if raining.... which it did everyday of our visit! Two routes that intersect in city centre. Large pedestrianised area so be up for walking.

    Agree with all the above but especially St Emilion. We booked a return train out there the day before and loved it. A really picturesque town and incredible wine.
