Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

People will moan about that poll but sure it's not as if we've any other official ones to go on!

Firstly, there's two threads about the election/casey.

Secondly, that's a web poll. It's no indicator of anything.

That doesn't mean that because there's no official poll you can trust a web survey. That survey is inherently untrustable.

I never said I trusted it. Merely making the point we've no official polls to go off this week. It's odd. Anyway, I feel online polls aren't representing the reality of the situation at all. Casey won't go near his numbers on these various web surveys.

    It was the Alt-right!

    Media already creating a narrative.

The media are in severe danger of handing Casey the win. It is nothing short of astonishing that we have not seen a poll since the election got interesting.
Its all right moaning about the accuracy of web polls but when the people in control pull all planned polls in case they show a growing support for a candidate they don't want to win, the web polls are all we have to go on.
Personally, from seeing the arguments on various forums, MDH has strong numbers of online supporters and I feel he is every bit as likely to have his supporters mess with the polls in his favour too so they may not be too far away. Certainly thejournal.ie pole putting casey at 30%+ might not be too far off.

I will be disappointed if he doesn't get 25 percent.

I'd love to see the breakdown of the numbers on the poll that done here. How many are recent reg's? How many were dormant accounts? Where was the link shared?

TheJournal did one only 1-2 days ago that saw like 20K votes:
    https://www.thejournal.ie/presidential-election-2-4302454-Oct2018/

The results have stayed very similar even from when I first voted like 10 mins after it was first posted so it doesn't look like there has been much if any fake voting.

Im aware of that and specifically said that it might not be far off. That is an online Poll and the mainstream media regard that as flawed. When I said we had not seen a poll since things got interesting, I was referring to a scientific poll published in the main stream. Of course it suits the media agenda to still show Casey on 2%.

No idea why you decided to create this when there's literally a poll thread.
