Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just because you want to play attacking football doesn't mean you have to leave yourself tactically exposed.

Don't leave yourself outnumbered in midfield particularly when it's so blatantly obviously what Swansea were going to do.

Playing attacking football is an attitude opposed to a formation...the formation is part of your tactical thinking. How can you set the team up to dominate this game.

I'm not saying Tim will fail longterm or that he hasn't improved things because he certainly has but he needs to be cuter than what he showed today.

Ya I don't disagree with you and today some of my concerns about his appointment were shown up.
When Westwood came on , Delph was given license to roam and started to look great so he could have started with that 3 in the middle.

Sunderland in late loser as well, so no New Manager bounce there yet. Amongst bottom 5 all losses yet - with QPR still to play Everton. Can see Hull losing to Chelsea too.

The bottom 7 sides all lost although West Brom do have a bit of breathing room - so things could be worse.

Disappointing to lose on Saturday as we were on a good run but Swansea are going well this year.

WB have a horrible last 5 games though. They play Chelsea, Arsenal, united and Liverpool (and Newcastle away). They essentially need to be safe with 5 games to go. Which they could be - they have QPR, Leicester and Palace in the next 3.

I'd actually rather they just beat QPR and Leicester.

Playing Man Utd tomorrow but the game on Tuesday versus QPR At home is much more important. We have to win that one really.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,077 ✭✭✭Patser

Can't afford to think like that. Win tomorrow and Tuesday is suddenly a lot less important. Going out tomorrow, thinking this is not a chance and focusing all on Tuesday is a recipe for disaster. Think of each game as a chance.

If you think that's crazy talk, remember what Burnley did after we beat Sunderland and thought all our problems are sorted.

    Van Persie is out tomorrow.

Pity! They've looked better since they dropped Falcao and RVP, and started playing Rooney up front on his own.

Guzan Hutton Clark Okore Lowton Delph Sanchez NZogbia Gabby Benteke Weimann

Weimann instead of Gil or Bacuna hmmm.

Vlaar and Baker back on bench so at least defensive options are coming back. And 4 out and out attackers starting so Sherwood sticking to the 'Go For It ' ideal.

"Tom Cleverley, on loan at Aston Villa, is ineligible to play against his parent side" .... amazing :)

QPR on a rampage 3-0 up

    Bollox Utd score.

Today is not going well at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,077 ✭✭✭Patser

Losing 1-0, take off NZogbia bring on Baker.....

    WTF Sherwood?

OK pushing Bacuna forward but still...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,014 ✭✭✭✭Corholio

Been absolutely hapless so far. Offering zero going forward. Its only 1-0 and playing like 5-0 down.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,014 ✭✭✭✭Corholio

Even Joe Cole on ahead of Gil. It was nice while it lasted Carles. Ridiculous imo.

There it is, 2-0. QPR winning handily too. Sherwood needs to buck up his ideas.

    Edit: 2-1 Benteke

So how bad is Hutton injury?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,077 ✭✭✭Patser

Ok Death1234 now we can say all attention is on Tuesday. Back under pressure again big time and again stuck hoping for other teams playing today to mess up.

All that said, my own gut opinion is that the biggest result yesterday was Hull's loss. Like our loss to Swansea last week, Hull's loss to them yesterday will have hurt. They would have seen that as a game they could have got something from and as I keep harping on, their run in is a nightmare. Still see them going down.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,554 ✭✭✭LeBash

I dont see Hull going down. Id say one of Burnley or QPR will get out and Sunderland will get pulled in. Id like to see Sunderland stay up but cant see it now.

Only thing I've seen so are is TS saying it doesn't look good. Bacuna has been a really good attacking threat at RB since TS took over. Let's hope there isn't much defending to do on Tuesday.
