Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

You'll always be ripped off in the likes of Curry's. You'd get a much better deal and pc online. Have a look around and see what you can find, I'm afraid I don't know too many websites for pc's (I only get laptops) but I do know pcspecialist.co.uk build custom pc's.

    Its a bit slow I would say......at 3.4 /3.9Ghz
You might need, if you can, get custom built a machine.

PC building and upgrading forum is your best bet. Plenty of us willing to put together a PC for you if you order the parts. If you're dead set on a prebuilt though they'll also point you in the right direction.

R5 2600 is a good processor but very much last gen.

Hi all, so I finally got the new pc & xplane11 is up & running like a charm, now I’m after scenery, I see Orbx do an Ireland Scenery but it doesn’t say it’s compatible with XP11, so what is & that’s as HD as Orbx?

    Excellent Psychlops,

Glad to hear......Ah yes scenery....We're still waiting on it.. There has recently been a increase in the number of survey flights being conducted, due to the good weather(and lack of air traffic), I am hopeful that it will in turn result in an increase in the availability of some high quality imagery. It is the very lack of , and the cost of this imagery which has been one of the main hurdles in the creation of a Orbx Real Earth Ireland for simulation platforms. That means that you(and we XP users) use Ortho4 XP to get photo scenery.... form what I can remember, I use Bi*g at Zoom Level 16 for mine.....I think that weighed in at about 12 GB. Most of the airports here can be found over at the ORG, and are created by some amazingly talented folks (Renair2 and Ciano35 to name but two)
You will of course require some other support files/Libraries that will have to be installed in order for things to function 'normally':
    Autogate
    SAM
    FlyWithLua
    Scenery Libraries (https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/90776-master-list-of-libraries/)
These are but a few...I am sure others will only be to happy to add to the MEL.

As Skyknight said, Orbx had planned to do Ireland so hopefully they will still stick to that plan. Ortho4xp is the best alternative and is pretty good to be fair, and Bing level 16 is what I chose as well, it gives a good balance between quality and not using a load of HD space.

I might just hold off until ORBX do Ireland, im really impressed with XP11, it makes FS9/FSX look terrible alltogther, & im running it with everything on max.

Also, I’ve been following a dude on IG that fly’s an EC135 in XP11, where do I get it, Is it payware? There is an EC135 on http://www.hubisim.de/ but when you pull collective it doesn’t fly at all.

Ah I see....Firstly have you the joystick calibrated, and the collective assigned to a joystick slider, and force trim mapped? You should be able search for it in the joystick assignment page ....Go to EC135> autopilot > Trim release button. Help hope it helps somewhat. Also see if the manual refers to force trim and the like. Hopefully it will help. There is a new version under development ATM: https://www.helisimmer.com/news/new-freeware-ec-135-under-development-for-x-plane

Here is a link to the EC145 should you feel the urge to give it a whirl :

Hi, im wondering how the heck do I assign yaw to the roll function of my joystick, I have pitcch and roll assigned but ive read that yaw can be assigned to the roll function also, but ive not seen how I do this? Ive learned that if I dont enable any rudder/yaw function that xplane does it for you, but its very limited.

This might help you repair the rudder issue with the joystick.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,143 ✭✭✭Psychlops

Hi all, how do I disable the wind noise in the cockpit, terribly annoying, I have Fly Agi but the latest version has no sound function.
