Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I was a non resident LL from 2013-2018

In 2018 I stayed in ireland for 5 months
in 2019 i stayed in ie 7 months
in 2020 i stayed in ie 6.5 months
in 2021 from jan 1 until today

I now wish to leave ireland and return to thailand, after I return I will only be willing to pay revenue ie tax on income sourced from ireland. In order to do this I believe (correct me if I am wrong) I have to avoid staying in Ireland for 3 consecutive years.
I have been told by knowledgeable people that i can stay until DEC this year.
However I can see a scenario where I leave in DEC and have to return in 2022. Then my stay of more than six months during 2021 will kick in and I will be awarded (against my wishes) ordinary residence and an increased tax bill which comes with it ....am i correct??
