Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It doesn’t hold up on the small screen at all. Too much CGI. Too many quick cuts.

When Mad Max Fury Road and John Wick came out they reminded audience s how good action was supposed to look

Yes for 8 Mile - epic scene

No for A few Dollars More - not a fan of westerns in general and although the scene is nicely filmed it doesn't do much for me.

    Yes to both of them.

The Karate Kid is iconic 80s - and Lost Highway is simply a masterpiece from start to finish.

    Karate Kid ; yes
never actually watched the film in full, but that scene is iconic in fairness

    Lost Highway ; no
never even heard of the film, so the scene meant nothing to me

    ^^ what he said.

Not a fan of the Karate Kid movies at all but in fairness it's pretty iconic.

Never heard of the second movie either :D

    No to both.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,078 ✭✭✭bogman_bass

    Yes to karate kid.

I’m sure the second scene is great when you watch the film but with out context it doesn’t stand up on its own

Yes to Both even though David Lynch can be hit and miss, hard to follow

Lost Highway was the first David Lynch film I watched and it blew my mind.
Weird of course, would appeal to anyone that has seen and liked Mulholland Drive.
And killer soundtrack - both the Badalamenti original and the songs - Cure, Manson, Nine Inch Nails, Rammstein.

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,943 ✭✭✭✭the purple tin

    Yay to both.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,712 ✭✭✭Sawduck

I'll vote yes to both of these, even though I haven't seen Karate Kid since I was a child

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,681 ✭✭✭✭Deja Boo

Not seen either, but that last karate kick was amazing - yes.

Can't watch the other clip, the mystery man creeps me out - cant say yes or no.
