Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The IFI have made a digitised copy of original British Pathe newsreels from the 1916 – 1922 period.

The quality of the newly digitised footage is remarkable, allowing even those who maybe familiar with this material to see it in a whole new light with details that were previously indistinct, now crystal clear.

I just watched a few random clips and it does bring that time period vividly to life.

There is detail one wouldn’t expect, like the unit soldiers who were wearing white uniforms (not unlike chef outfits) spending an age untangling a big ball of barbered wire with pliers.
