Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    House built 2002.

All radiators work together, with no zones (as far as my limited knowledge goes).
We have a nest timer/thermostat which basically just triggers the boiler and obviously doesn’t manage zones. The individual rads are the old school twist and guess, try to balance inflow and outflow , no temperature or 1-5 type valve.

Ideally upstairs and downstairs would be split, and each individual rad have a temperature gauge but that is secondary. House needs heat during the day downstairs, but then upstairs gets too warm if downstairs is on a lot, but i cant just turn down the upstairs rads or i end up with no ability to heat upstairs early AM.

Typically is it handy to split upstairs and downstairs? or does the job usually bring more hassle and cost than it is worth.

    😎

It's usually easy enough to split upstairs and downstairs with a zone valve.

Please follow site and charter rules. "Resistance is futile"
