Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

08-11-2020 9:33pm#1I was watching the most recent Jurassic Park film Fallen Kingdom yesterday with the kids. One of the characters had a nice "panda" watch. I believe that specific one is a Swatch.
It reminded me that I'd love to add a panda to my collection. I've had my eye on the Orient Neo70 for a while but wonder what else is out there that I should be aware of before I take the plunge. Any suggestions?

A fair bit pricer than a swatch but the reissue of the Breitling Top Time is a beautiful watch. The only thing is that it doesn't have the B01 movement which you'd really want to get if buying a Breitling chronograph for that sort of money.
If you like that aesthetic but want something on a budget then the Hamilton Chronomatic is a good option.
Edit: these are nowhere near as cheap as I thought they were.

Looking at the sub dial spacing, I'd hazard a guess that the movement is an ETA G10.211 or similar.
Shouldn't be too hard get a panda variant.

That Hamilton looks fantastic but it's a bit outside my price range. I've never given Chinese watches a thought before but the examples given look decent.
The Orient Neo70 tops my list at the moment. I especially like this JDM version with the green accents and day/date dials.
Coincidentally one of my favourite watch YouTubers dropped this panda related video yesterday. Also a nice looking device but he's right, it looks dead.
