Printer Price.

Hi folks. Looking for a cheap printer with scanner, copier. I know the dearest part is the ink. Any good value out there around 50 squid👍👍

If you only need B&W printing then I find the Brother mono laser printer/copier/scanner/fax MFC offers the lowest cost per page. Duplex printing with USB/Network/Wireless connectivity. They cost a little more upfront, but you save a fortune in the long run. Generic toner cartridges and drum units are dirt cheap on Amazon at around €10 each.

The larger Tesco stores usually have a decent mix of them. The cartidges are where they make the money back though, a set of ink might cost the price of the printer.

One thing to bear in mind when looking for value in a Printer and good value printing is to get a printer which uses "4 ink cartridges"
as this makes your printing costs very cheap. Just keep this n mind. Epson is one brand that uses 4 cartridges. There may be others.

Hi as already pointed out the ink costs should be considered.

I recently (6 months ago) got a HP in PC World (about €79 in sale) and went with the HP plan @ €2.99 pm( plans range from free, €2.99 per month up to €9.99 pm) https://instantink.hpconnected.com/ie/en/l/
Model was the HP Officejet 5200 series and came with 4 months free ink.

When the machine is running low the printer sends a message and new cartridges arrive in the post in a few days (and you send back the old ones freepost).

The printer is wireless and works well on our home network (4 laptops and 4 phones). I've seen the machine or similar in Tesco & Lidl.

Prior to that we had a Canon Pixma, which was a very good machine but kept losing wireless connectivity (probably fixable but I just got fed up with it).

Canon, HP, Epson, Brother etc - all good machines.
