It would only need to be viewed if any rubbish was dumped. I'm presuming it would be too far away for a wireless one ?
Any suggestions on how best to do it and what to use greatly appreciated.

If you can get a little be closer then you should investigate using Power over Ethernet (PoE) to power the device, you can do 100m but less is probably better.
