We have has a range of wild birds (Erithacus rubecula, Passer domesticus, Parus, etc) which we leave out feed for, unfortunately, the odd one flies into the glasshouse windows. I am just wondering if anyone has any experience of solutions that may work? Would a pattern of stickers work?

Never heard of that problem before but birds often fly into patio doors and you can buy stickers https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1311&_nkw=bird+strike+window+stickers&_sacat=0 which may do the job for you. Incidentally most people use the English rather than Latin names for birds. :)

stickers. Along the autostrada in Italy where they have perspecs sound barriers they use the sticker to save birds.

Was not sure if I had it in the right section and thought when in Rome do as the Romans so I used the Latin names :).

We lost two already this year so far, I think... as they can see directly through they don't spot the glass till it's too late.

I was just wondering if the clear etched stickers might be enough so they could see it and it would not be too noticeable for us then either.

I'd say that you'll find something inoffensive on eBay.

Apparently you can get special UV stickers that are virtually invisible to the human eye but are visible to birds. Alternatively a pen that you can just write lines on the glass with that has the same effect. No idea if they work or not, but you can get them in a number of places online, for example ...

Hi thanks - wish I had seen that link earlier, already picked some up on aliexpress after so will be waiting a while for them now....but they are etched frosted ones and apparently they reflect ultraviolet light which the birds can see, so hopefully they will work.
