Jesus Jericho really is turning into Axel Rose.

Is he really though? At least Jericho's working to keep himself in some of shape, Axl's been missing in action/not seen since Guns N' Roses wrapped their Not In This Lifetime Tour in November 2019. He probably won't be seen again until Guns N' Roses head for Australia later this year.

I believe the channel is closing down.

The ultimate warrior, grizzly smith, and the dynamite kid ? Jesus there’s a cheerful triple. I assume the warrior episode will go into the horrible person he was and the horrible things he said ? Hopefully this is the real self destruction of the ultimate warrior because the person outside the ring needs to be exposed. I mean what kind of asshole do you need to be to take pleasure in someone getting cancer ?

Cracking opening episode looking forward to part 2.

Nice to see Dave is being interviewed as he was good friends with Pillman and helped him out a lot.

Part one was dropped early for the VICE TV app episode 2 will drop as when normally due on the 14th of May.

Just installed the vice app on Roku. Don't see the episode. Has it gone or is there a different version of the app?

It's on YouTube or was earlier anyway.

I watched Part 1 and it was probably the best episode I've seen from the series to date. Most of the episodes I found that if you were a fan nothing of note really happened as you knew the story, but this was different; Brian's family really added a fascinating element.

I don't enjoy seeing anyone in Melanie Pillman's situation, and it was uncomfortable hearing about her actions and how much hatred Pillman's daughter had for her. Pillman jr managed to grow up to be quite decent in spite of his mental family life.

The Randy Savage A&E Biography is good but very similar to the Dark side of the ring episode about the death of Ms Elizabeth

Seeing Eric Bischoff’s wife on it as a talking head was interesting and nice to see someone new talking about that time.

Conrad was upset bout it saying it was a hit job.. I didn’t know much about his later career and his time in wcw with gorgeous George

Watched part 2 and it was rough going with the Melanie stuff and the abuse the kids went through, but I was so glad to see Pillman's sister was watching over them. It really is an inspiring story.

Definitely my favourite episodes of the series so far.

Not only that but it's a marvel he ended up the seemingly well rounded individual he is as well as his sisters. Hearing the abuse he and they went through after Brian Senior died was rough going. I was infuriated by it.

Funny thing is that I still pity Melanie.

Nick Gage this week lots of mental health issues right there.

After watching it I really do think David Arquette would make a good episode even thought his story was mostly covered in his own doc You Cannot Kill David Arquette

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,338 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Decided to watch the Brian Pillman episode part 1 and Jesus life has not been kind to Melanie pillman. His sister seems like a god send for his kids just by the way they’ve spoken about her.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,253 ✭✭✭The White Wolf

I was nauseous 10 seconds into Nick Gage. Headcases the lot of them.

Just started the Nick Gage episode.
I am not really squeamish but only a few minutes in and I'm finding it hard to watch

Is this the bank addicted drug robber guy who went to jail and is friends with Jon Moxley ?

    Cornette?

I'm not all that up on the death match stuff but it's pretty sickening based on this episode. He literally kills himself at one point and you're meant to show respect?

Did they go ahead with the 'plane ride from hell' episode or was that only a rumour ?

2 Ultimate Warriors documentaries coming up with different tones to both painting him both as a hero and a villain .The wwe legends biography episode is airing this weekend then the DSOTR episode the 27th May

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,189 ✭✭✭ThePott

They are doing the plane ride from hell. Apparently the episode is quite shocking and they're worried about fallout.
I think I saw someone say that after listening to a podcast with the producers.

Don't think it airs till the second half of the season though.

It was on Jim cornettes podcast where the producers spoke about the current season. I was always of the belief that the plane ride from hell was a singular event that got out of hand, but the producers said that it was a whole tour thing, and they said they were shocked how much more to the story there was.

Thought that alright, don't listen to Cornette but saw someone do a write-up on it. Sounds like a pretty big episode anyway.

Guessing it will be 7 episodes - Hiatus - 7 episodes.

Collision in Korea was a really interesting watch and a few new talking heads.

On a side note If I won the Euro millions I'd want to buy Bischoff house and move there.

I watched the Nick Gage episode last night... let's call a spade a spade here. Dudes a scumbag.

I absolutely hate the way he tries to come off as a hardman too. Wrestling is a work. Another person giving you their body and going along with things. So does he really think he's hard in a worked sport? Where he gets a pizza cutter and goes off script and tries to tears the other guy up?

And all this bravado out of a man who is clearly still a junkie along with his girlfriend. When they showed the old picture of both of them you can clearly see how the drugs have ravaged them.

There's literally no difference from him and some 40 year old from Finglas who's on drugs, went to prison and has the odd wrestling match :p harsh perhaps but not exactly wrong.

Diana Warrior while promoting the A&E doc on Warrior was asked if she was involved with the Dark Side of the Ring Episode..
I had no part in this project. Smut and filth does not rise to my note.

I think she might be just as mad as he was.

Yeah can’t be justifying her husband who was a piece of **** as a human and publicly expressed happiness at Bobby heenan getting cancer and was unrepentantly homophobic. It’s be a tale of his widow and first wife with the two episodes.

I've not seen the DSOTR episode yet, but I just watched CVV's interview with Gage and whilst I take it with a large pinch of salt, he strikes me as a man who isn't too proud of some of what he's done but is unapologetic for who he is. I dunno if I'd be inviting him for Christmas dinner, but he seems somewhat at peace with who he is and that's something a lot of people struggle with.

Ah right so, sure once he's at peace with himself being a scumbag, all good.

    Good Lord.

I'm not suggesting that at all :)

I'm thinking more along the lines of "well hopefully he doesn't go full Beniot because he's out of his gourd on opiates and psychotic as a result" but I didn't make that clear at all - my bad.

To be blunter - I too think he's a scumbag, but I don't condemn people who are drug addicts any more than I don't condemn people who have cancer - it's a medical condition.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,253 ✭✭✭The White Wolf

The Warrior one is probably the weakest one so far this season but that's purely because nothing new was hit upon rather than anything they did wrong.

Interesting to hear from Warrior's first wife all the same.
