Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi there,

    Quick question please - I'm thinking of picking up a 2017 ish VW Passat and was just wondering about the likelihood of getting one with the VW motorised flip badge rear camera. (not even sure what the correct name for these is - seems to vary in online descriptions!)

    Obviously it's not essential to my needs but it seems like a nice option to have.

    Wondering how to find them on searches/via filters - ie are they only available from a certain year onwards, is there a particular spec they were included on etc.?

    Also is there other cars in the VAG sphere that have these or similar?

    I've no notion about the one in these images - Might be a cheap aftermarket knock-off or whatever - Just included the pics for clarity on what I'm after.

    Not sure about models but it's brilliant idea to hide it like that.
    My reversing camera is always out and if it rains a lot it can get hard to see as it's covered in water.

    I think if they have the factory reverse camera it’ll be that switch type.

    Just be aware that if you got for an aftermarket (tbh unlikely with the VW emblem version), that the overlay lines showing where the car will go might be misleading. You can test them with some chalk on the ground, and have them disabled if incorrect.

    Just buy one without a camera and get this fella to install one. He has 3 different options ranging from a fixed camera above your number plate to a proper one under the badge.
