Exactly, it's comedy central in this place. Wasn't too long ago the boyos in FG rolled out the red carpet to vice president of China, including Coveney, Noonan and others and welcomed them here and there were no concerns over human rights etc.

The problems with the Uighers and the wiping out of democracy in Hong Kong became well known after the visit of Xi to Ireland.

Folks, you are mistaking 'social media problems' with dislike of a political stance.

If somebody picks out a single policy of Trump or Biden or any western leader, I for one, do not take it as a general endorsement, nor should others. Easy targets and venting with agendas and all that. ;)

Consider also SF's endorsement of the criminal drug dealing Maduro regime in Venezuela.

Consider also their opposition to the Special Criminal Court.

So the PRC had a grand reputation on human rights, right up until then?

The Uighers and Hong Kong were step changes downwards by Xi - and for the worse.

Read at the time that Ireland was one of the few European countries he could visit without potentially noticeable protests.
See where the recent coup in Myanmar has been described in China as a 'major cabinet reshuffle'!!!

Mary lou posted this yesterday. Somehow a campaign targetting people committing welfare fraud is now similar to helping out your mates with vaccines, and its somehow Leos fault as well.

If FG tried this stunt (tried to associate Mary Lou with some unrelated scandal she had no part in) they would feel the full force of the provisional online army

Turns out that SF have two administrators for their social media accounts based in Serbia. I wonder what that’s all about? Are these Good Republicans Irish, is this a part time/unpaid role, and why didn’t they choose some of their thousands of extremely dedicated and vocal online supporters to take up the role instead? They also have over 200 employees so you’d imagine you could a few of them to do this work as part of their role.

It’s a very unusual story, and I don’t think we’ve heard the last of it.

The trawl of TDs accounts after the rather awful Sindo cartoon did not come out well for SF. Or the Soc Dems tbh.

If you're going to make a thing of a witch reference being misogynistic, maybe make sure you never, ever made the same reference about another female party leader.

That Serbia thing is clearly absolute nonsense of the highest order too. To have two random unnamed supporters in a distant country that are both somehow trusted enough to admin major accounts is utterly implausible.

Most likely it is a way to avoid SIPO rules in some way. I would guess it is more of a financial issue rather than a social media one.

From the Indo, that's like quoting a negative story about FG from An Phoblacht.

Nice attempt at deflection but was also reported in the examiner and SF have confirmed it to be true, so not sure what your point is

Seems like Sinn Fein are working hard and spending a lot of money on fixing their social media problems.
