Anybody else going on the beer for the whole of the most depressing month of the year?

I'm going to make a good stab at it :)

I agree with the sentiment but most people are not going to be available.

Currently having a glass of red wine in bed myself, trying not to think about work in the morning. Was out earlier. And yesterday...And the day before. Big session day before that.

I'd say it'll be a wet twelve months myself. Particularly when the sun is out.

Due to being completely out of beer, I've just discovered that Ginger ale goes alright with Jim Beam.

I'm near tempted to say it's a better accompaniment to it than coke.

I need another few to be defintive.

I'm sure she'll be wet at the prospect of me going on the gargle for the month.

Anyone else of the opinion that from today (3rd) on are the most depressing days of the year? Just the realisation that Christmas is over for another year (nights out, meeting up with friends and family, just that general christmas feeling of not having to worry about anything) knowing that it's all over :( I have that crappy feeling in my stomach now

I worked all over Christmas, only had two days off, only had one night out and one day and night with my family but it still feels like something is over or gone and there's nothing to look forward to now. I think I'll leave my fairy lights up.

Nah, just going to get through and finish off that stash of cocaine that I kept for Christmas but haven't finished yet

It will indeed be a wet January. It's my birthday this weekend so a proper session will be had. I've had some of the best nights out of my life in the 'most depressing month of the year'. There's less pressure compared to the typical Christmas nights out.

And Happy Birthday to you so.

    Thanks Lieutenant :)
There won't be much queuing for drinks (hopefully). Spent half an hour queuing in pubs over Christmas waiting to get served.
This will be a nice stress free drinking session.

Wine and dark chocolate is very nice.

I sometimes break off half a bournville and lob it in glass of white.

Missed my train, went to the pub. Start as you mean to go on I say. Plus we have 12 pubs coming up so might go this year.
