You get a saorview aerial. You can get an indoor one if signal is good in your area, or an outdoor one if it is not.

If your TV has a saorview tuner then plug it straight in, otherwise you need an external one.

To get the UK channels you need a satellite, lnb and a tuner.

It is possible to get a combi tuner to plug both in if you wish.

Plug an aerial into your tv and run a scan.

There is a UPC white plastic box on the wall for standard coaxial connector .

Also there is a thin grey cable coming from outside apartment, looks more like phone cable. Which one is areal?

We have old smart Samsung TV and I vaguely remember having all these free channels in another apartment, before we started the virgin.

None of those cables, you either need to buy an indoor aerial (would probably need an amplified one) or an outdoor one and run a cable from it to the tv.

what tv model is it? That way we can tell you whether it is saorview compatible or whether you need a saorview box.

What you are remembering is probably upc/virgin media analogue service which has been switched off.
