Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

FIA bull****, the white line is the track limit, end of story.

Its the easiest thing in f1 to enforce and yet they won't ever do it, symbolises exactly whats wrong with the whole sport

How do you think they measure when a car exceeds the limits exactly? Just stand Giuseppe on turn 1 to watch 20 cars zooming by and do it by naked eye. They use sensors and timing loops that's how. Previous poster said they didn't have time to set them up, they were spot on. They didn't have time to technically configure them, so impossible to enforce accurately

Wasn't someone in F2 qualifying being investigated for track limits??

The only penalty I can remember from F2 qualifying was a 3 place grid drop for Juri Vips blocking Deletraz

Engine cover off Max's car and the mechanics working on something as the anthem started

Hope that's not Hamiltons only challenger out already.

Here’s hoping this is a good race day.

Looks like problem solved and Max will be okay to take the start

Redbull saying it is OK now, but then again they would.
I was hoping Max might end up getting a flyer and be in with a chance with Lewis trying to cover whatever Bottas might do at turn 1.

Interesting, I specifically remember a comment that everyone in F1 was well exceeding track limits since Friday and that that investigation in F2 was the first one all weekend.

I was trying to work out how he ended up so far back to be caught up in that.

No way Max's car was sorted, it went backwards at the start.

    Radio message confirms that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,599 ✭✭✭ScrubsfanChris

What happened with Max's start? Looks like he missed a gear or drop the anchor.....

Nah, that's a car issue at the start. He actually got away OK and then lost power, can hear how low the revs are

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,648 ✭✭✭✭skipper_G

Unlucky for Max to get taken out, but after the initial getaway he basically stopped accelerating. Looks like that problem was not fixed after all and he probably wouldn't have made it too much further

His initial getaway was great but then he got swallowed up with whatever his problem is

The colour of those Ferarris is very nice, they should keep that colour

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,648 ✭✭✭✭skipper_G

That might need a red flag

Edit: duh I forgot they would just send the cars through the pitlane

It worked though, was still 1st into turn one.

I don’t think so. Prolonged safety car unfortunately:(

Edit: I take it back! You are 100% correct

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

Shambles. Standing start again. Red flag surely

People at the back not paying attention.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,369 ✭✭✭Rossi IRL

Surely a way to counter this is to not be allowed accelerate untill you get to the start line.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

Nothing wrong. He didnt want to give hamilton a tow

He did what he had to do for his race. The lads at the back obviously didn't expect it. No brake lights on the cars obviously.

    Red flag.

This track is just too narrow and dangerous for a full f1 race I'm thinking
