Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Advice on Rod for Boat and casting

Heading down to Blessington this weekend to do a spot of fishing and looking to pick up and extra rod. Currently only have one 6ft boat rod.

Mostly I imagine if I'm fishing it'll be mostly off a boat, however I'd like to do some casting off a pier if I get the chance in the future. Is there any rod type that'd do for mostly boat fishing but would be ok for casting?

Also, any tips on fishing in belssington? Currently only have spinner and mackerel lures.
