Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Some Nature Pictures I Took Recently - II (Seasonal Photos)

Mod Note: Hi Everyone, the first "Some Pictures I Took Recently" thread was a phenomenal success, running for a bit over 10 years with 10,000 posts and featuring some fantastic photos and amazing species. It was no doubt the way many people got 'hooked' into the Nature & Birdwatching forum over the years, and the Boards.ie social media accounts regularly shared photos from the thread.

Congratulations to everyone who contributed, and I have no doubt it's successor will be similarly valuable! :)

The usual rules apply here - less chat more pictures, essentially! Please do try and post some EXIF info with photographs where possible, for interest and to help other photographers.

OK, not the greatest quality photo, but something a little unusual, a Siberian Jay, taken in Northern Finland. This was taken outside a small log cabin cafe in the middle of nowhere which had a bird table outside. There were four of them in total, one of them ringed.

Just down watching the Ireland match in the kestrel pub in Walkinstown and pigeons went crazy and with that a peregrine falcon flies right past the roof of the pub and comes back around after them again and started to circle the area up high for a good five mins before stopping again. Didn’t see the result but I’m amazed to see one here in Walkinstown.
