Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Paying a deposit in covid times

I'm looking to get some work done, lead time of 6 weeks, 50% up front deposit = e3000.

The 6 week lead time is making me a bit edgy because of the potential of a second wave/another lockdown. The contractor only accepts cash or a bank transfer, seems to be the same with everyone else I've tried.

Am I worrying for no reason? I don't suppose you have any protection whatsoever with a bank transfer, as you would with a credit card?
