Ladies & Gents, I give you....... Saab (99/900 et al) :
Remember the ignition key between the seats locks the gearlever.....in reverse. Key in, ign on (reverse lights), take gear lever out of reverse into neutral. So you always get a 'flash' of the reversing lights on start up.Ode To The Motorist

I got codded with that about 15 years ago, was asked to move the new Saab 9-5 the Boss had.. I parked it elsewhere and it took me an indecent amount of time to figure out it had to be put in reverse before the key would release from the ignition barrell. I thought I had broken it0
