Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Learner permit

    Hi guys.
    I'm a bit confused. My Learner permit has expired on 25/11/18 and I' m looking to renew it - is it possible or do I have to apply from the start and sit the practical theory test & submit learner permit form again? It' s been 7 months since the permit has expired. Thanks

    You can renew it alright.

    You only have to start the process afresh if your licence has expired for five years or more. See https://www.ndls.ie/about-the-learner-permit.

    Bril, thanks a mil!was confused because it said that you can renew it up to 3 months before the expiry date.

    Yeah, but that's for those who want to renew even before their current permit expires.

    I renewed my learner permit in January this year and my previous one had been expired for close to two years. There was no issue doing the renewal.

    I renewed mine before after it was expired over four and a half years!
    Didn't have to do anything, except apply online for a test and bring the proof to the NDLS office. :)

    Need Help re learner permit!!

    Hi all, my permit is expiring in two weeks i hadnt realised. i didnt know until the letter came that i could have renewed up to three months beforehand. i need to have a test booked before i can get it renewed. I am on a waiting list for my local centre for weeks but there are no dates to book yet. how do i 'get my permit renewed is it enough to be on the list? i have mailed the RSA and NDLs but no one has got back to me and i am starting to panic! and i dont have the psc card to use online
