Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The 59th Leinster Veteran Vintage and Classic Car Rally will be a one day event starting from The Goat, Taney Road, Dublin 14 on Sunday 30th June 2013. Start time is 10.30am, with a lunch stop at Avondale House, Rathdrum before finishing at the Bel-Air Hotel where the main "Concours" section of the Rally will be judged by the competitors using their voting cards. Results and presentation of awards will take place at 5.30pm in the hotel.

The route for the day will be over 60 miles through counties Dublin and Wicklow. Competitors are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy in the grounds of Avondale House at the lunch stop. Refreshments are also available from the coffee shop in Avondale House.

Although there is a competitive element to the event, the emphasis will be on enjoyment and fun, while the more serious minded can concentrate on the navigation and maintain an average speed as per their class.

The winner in the road section will recieve the Dudley Colley Memorial Trophy with another 10 trophies dating back to the first event in 1938 will be presented for the Concours section of the event.

Competitors are encouraged to take out their pre-wars cars.
There will be prizes for the best period costume worn by a competitor, so use your imagination and drag out those old furs and plus fours and dress up for the occasion.

The club would like to thank Patrick O'Kelly Limited of Bray, Co Wicklow for their kind sponsorship of the event.

I'll have entry forms ASAP on this thread

Sorry for the delay in posting these files.

Everyone I cant recommend this event enough, I've been on it almost every year for the past 12 years and its organisation is second to none. The Leinster Motor Club are a really well organised unit who have a real passion for motoring two or four wheeled...Anyway looking forward to another great day out.
