Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wind question

Right now it’s extremely windy here in Wicklow. Not unusual but I was wondering why high winds when accompanied with rain are given storm names or are just referred to as a storm. It seems to me that there is more clout given to a storm in terms of forecasting and weather warnings but high winds don’t seem to garner as much airtime.
What’s the difference and why is this current spate of high wind not being referred to specifically in forecasts?

    Thanks in advance

    D
