Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Exact same here today no receipt, hopefully lands in a few hours

Been a good 5 hours doubt I get the receipt! So annoying, because the vouchers worked

Went to Lidl today scanned the app and vouchers worked, but no digital receipt! So I got no scratch and win voucher from today since there's no receipt..

It's the next day now and no receipt still so I contacted Lidl on whatsapp, and they fixed it! And gave me a goodwill coupon aswell!

How did you contact them on what's app ?
I got digital receipt no Scratch card though, sent them a message through app help section.
Is what's app number on the app itself?

    Thanks

    Scratchers this week

    Savoury Rice or Water (500ml)
    €1 off
Almond Fingers or Plasters (These are both in the app stand in-store)

    Bit disappointing this week!

They've added €1 off blueberries, cost €1.63 down to 63c and €1 off Super Soft Toiliet Tissue, €5.69 down to €4.69.

No Savoury Rice 54c in my store. Is it a common product?

  • Registered Users Posts: 211 ✭✭florawest

Plenty in Tuam, there are two brands( Sun ??) and the one on the freebie as haven't got this item before but wasn't sure if it was just the chicken and vegetable on app as only these on photo as there are other flavours (well was in my store anyways.

No joy two days in a row getting the specific type smoothie fruit mixture in Tuam) that's on the app.

Got euro off on today's scratcher and worth while messaging on what's app if any problems, thanks to previous poster mentioning and giving the Lidl customer service number too.

Did you look over with the tinned beans and stuff? That's where it is.

Mine was full of them! I only got it to trigger another scratchcard. I guess it depends on how busy a lidl it is.

Anyone know what next week's app offers are ??

Doing up my list for the week 😠as budget time had/have car repair bill to finish paying.

Weekend offers lately aren't great, waiting patiently for the bixies (wheetabix cheaper version but still tastes great) offers to show up.

    Thanks in advance.

Ours was almost all beef rice, which scanned for me as free, even though the price on the shelf said only Vegetable or Chicken.

Hey thanks for this I found the savory rice in the tin canned section (not the regular rice section), had chicken flavour and beef flavour, thanks!

The offer is for Savoury Rice, no mention of specific flavours in the offer. Check out the product code, rather than the photo, when using the app.

As I said, the label in the shop only mentioned the two flavours: vegetable and chicken. There was no beef on the label.

Next week's Lidl plus offers since someone asked:

Apart from the smell, why/how is this detergent better at €1.65 than the similar 875ml Formil liquid for €1.39?
€2.65 Lidl Plus price: €1.65 Product size: 875ml

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 35,024 ✭✭✭✭Baggly

Powder detergent is generally going to be a little bit more economical, because typically less gets used per load (so more loads in the detergent box than there is in the liquid bottle). While they perform a similar function, its comparing apples and oranges, rather than apples and apples.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,001 ✭✭✭✭zell12

They are both Formil liquid detergent
One is normally €2.65 and has a fragrance, the other is always €1.39

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 35,024 ✭✭✭✭Baggly

Im sorry zell - my mind went off on a tangent there. You are right! Not sure if its this but the one on the app this week is super concentrated - is the 1.39 one the non-concentrated one?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,001 ✭✭✭✭zell12

They both say 875ml and 25 washes
    €2.65 versus €1.39

Did anyone buy Madeira twin pk on app last week?
We did but it tasted vile really sour taste and definitely so when my teenage son took two slices and took a bite from both and threw it out.

    Maybe just bad batch ðŸ˜

Still in my fridge minus 3 slices ( I had to take slice to see but after one bite that was enough ) not sure if I should take it back.

Anyone else getting aggro at the tills? Two days in a row I've been subjected to aggression and stress from the till. Both men imay add. Or maybe it was the same man.
Yesterday I was given out to for looking at my phone instead of packing the shopping while he was still scanning.
I was doing it because I had the app and pay app on the same phone.
and today even though I apologised at first for leaving my shopping g on an empty belt with NOBODY at it, to go and get something else, he wouldn't let it go and kept at me so I responded. Eventually I was so upset I couldn't find my debit card and the Google pay had blanked itself, that I just said " you know what? Keep it."
And I walked out but he called me back just so he could tell me never to come back in front of the other customers.
And I was also told very snottily to take my shopping out of the small cardboard boxes I had put on the belt like in the airport.
It seems they (or he) had decided that I was selfish and thoughtless and had to be brought down a peg or two.
And fair enough it's a Friday evening now but yesterday wasn't that busy.
I don't know it must be me. Maybe it's my perfume.
I think my grá for lidl is well and truly over.

    Hi ya,

Gosh that is terrible, send in a complaint to that store plus one to headquarters too stating when and where, I have had a problem or two with money not coming off and got one sales person who got a bit agitated but I stood my ground in a polite way explaining that it wasn't my fault if the app had problems.

Definitely not you, I hate to see rude people either side of the till, it only takes a few minutes to generally sort things.

If Lidl is closer and cheaper go back and ask for their name next time if there is anymore hassle. I know idea is to pack at counter and have sometimes been in a hurry and got behind someone with big trolley packing at till and generally if they smile and say sorry for holding you up, not a big deal for me then.

I too pack most times at till. Just a bad day for that worker ( who knows what he/she has going on in their life), good luck next time.

Get on to CS on What's App and name the store and describe the assistant. Give them the till no and the time and they'll be able to report it to the store manager.

It seems there is such a thing as the postcovid crazies, and that could be what's going on. I don't know if it happens after the vaccine or just the infection, but seems there is a lot of it about.

    @guisseig
Definitely worth a call to head office especially after their recent campaign of supporting people with communication difficulties at the tills.

Link is - "Jam Card + lidl" into google search, I can't post links yet as I'm a new user.

As a result of this, I thought ALL staff would be trained to be more compassionate to EVERYONE at the tills regardless of whether they have a difficulty or not. Unfortunately that didn't happen for you.

On Topic - Lidl scratch card today was dogfood 35c or breadsticks 59c, I won't be in a hurry to collect.
