Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

someone told me about this place the other day and id never heard of it.
Said it was pretty good. Had a look at the menu last night on way home.
I think they do a kind of pick between Quesadilla, burrito or (cant remember i think it was) Taco. Then you just add what ever you want(meat) and then the ususal stuff, guac, salsa, beans and theyre all about same price 7 euro.

been dying for a decent mexican type place, id say abrakebabras is about the nearest thing, and this sounds deadly.

If you are into Mexican food theres a good Mexican place in the Dundrum town centre. Its a sit down full service so probably a lot different though. I'm biased as its owned by a good friend of mine.

is it any good tho if you could be neutral? dundrum centre doesnt inspire me with condiments.

They're a bit tight with the mayo/sugar/salt etc are they...:D

I would say yes as I was not particularly into Mexcican food and I've enjoyed eating there. I hear what you are saying about Dundrum but its located with a few other restaurants and a bar on Pemboke way which has more of a regular pedestrian street feeling to it.

can't say anything regarding the food itself but it's something like 14 or 15 knicker for a burrito in that place in Dundrum, think it's called Cantina or Cortina or something. Boojum and B+B you get out for under a tenner for a burrito and a drink. For 15 quid you could buy a rake of old el paso kits and churn out ten burritos. Money waster eh?

Burritos and Blues is delicious. Thread about them here: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055793981&page=5

The food in Cortinas in Dundrum is pretty good based on my one visit. There's a good tapas-style deal which I'd recommend. (ie you get a little bit of everything)
Burritos and Blues used to be in Ranelagh and they were really good then esp the tacos,...... I have not tried the new place

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,336 ✭✭✭✭Tony

Yeah and you can buy a bag of potatoes and fry chips yourself but some people like going to the chipper. Its whatever your into, i'm not saying Cortinas is in bargain alert territory by any means I just mentioned it as theres not many out there.

    Are referrals allowed fropm mods?
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055793981&page=5

just curious as to who is allowed to post referrals and who isnt.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,340 CMod ✭✭✭✭Davy

They aren't allowed in bargain alerts as per the forum charter. As for other forums, it depends on their own rules. Its not a case that mods can post them, and other posters cant.

A lot of the more enthusiastic posters on that thread only seem to have ever posted on this one subject. Including one who says 'I also know the manager well'.

It actually put me off signing up for the offer.

Haven't eaten in B&B since it was in Ranelagh. Very disappointed with it back then.

Boojum however is amazing and I'm surprised no one has mentioned it. http://www.boojummex.com/
By far the best Mexican in Dublin. ALthough I haven't tried the place on Baggot street yet

The slop Akrakebabra is peddling as "Mexican" food is not even mildly close to decent. Given up hope of finding good Mexican food in Ireland.

You called Akrakebabra decent. It can't be any worst than that.

Boojum is not bad but nothing beats the place on Baggot Street, Pablo Picantes. Best burrito in Dublin.

Hmmmm have had both quite a few times and boojum wins simply due to the fact that that you can choose peppers over black beans.

The rice makes a surprising difference in a buritto too :|

Had a boojum for lunch today. Not saying it's a bad place at all but I always go with shredded beef and think it's far better quality in Pablos.

Pablos is nicer than Boojum alright.. but Taco Taco trumps both!
