Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wouldn't have my milk white skin any other way.

Awful how much Irish people put themselves down.

Wow. Honestly that sounds a bit... yeah...

You’re not allowed to like your skin if it’s white?

Sorry but here in the 21st century white supremacy is considered problematic, hun.

We do stand out. My wife, a Spaniard, always throws us in with any assortment of 'Northerners' (anyone from Northern Europe to Soaniards) but you can see the differences. It is most noticeable when we're on holidays. She'll say 'There's one of yours' when she says someone particularly white but she's only right about half the time.

Irish people are a pastier kind of white. There's a lot more freckles too and a browner tone of hair. Those from GB tend to have a bit more colour and a noticeably different dress sense, Fred Perry and Burberry being brands that I've rarely seen Irish people wear. This is too subtle for Spaniards to spot, however. We do tend to dress with the least amount of clothes possible, being used to the cold and all.

    He was 19 there????

Never mind the head of him, he's standing like an old farmer.

They're trying too hard, it seems to be his/her USP.

There are so many gimmick and character accounts in AH these days, sometimes it's hard to tell.

Same as with travellers. I can always know straight away . Certain traits I suppose. No different to an Irish person on holiday

Travelers maybe but I don't think a lot my friends would be recognizable as Irish abroad. Or my kids or me, for example as we are dark haired (or at least I used to be) very sallow skinned, especially in summer. People are confusing recognizing a sunburnt, drunk lad in a GAA jersey with having innate irish features, I think. :pac:

I had to add that bit in because of politics

English people can spot the 'Irish look' as well, had it numerous times, overhear comments that are sometimes friendly, sometimes not, usually when out and about in pubs and the like.

They are easily spotted as well, way more tanned, all posing and trying to be something they are not. loud and obnoxious. not liked anywhere.
