The biggest mistake people make I was told by a medical professional was eating a burger or big meals on the way home from the pub is the worst thing for hangovers. Keep the stomach empty of food before passing out.

I don’t believe that. If I have 10 or 12 pints in the pub and don’t stop into the chipper on the way home then I have eyes like two pissholes in the snow the next morning and a head on me like a stewed turnip. Much much better if I’ve had a garlic and cheese chips, quarter pounder, and a battered sausage before hitting the hay.

He's a doctor I'm not. Maybe he's full of crap. He explained that the human body can't process alcohol and food at the same time so the food gets processed 1st while the booze gets moved to the side so if there was no food most of the booze would be dealt with by the time you wake up so the hangover is half gone. He does specialise in alcohol too.

From past experiences I stick with only drinking Guinness and vodka. Ideally for me a good Sunday session is a great way to get over a hangover. If that's not possible a good meal a few panodols before work and I'm good to go. I noticed the longer you give laying around and feeling sorry for yourself the worse it'll get.
