Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Where to go for Independent Eye Consultation?

I'm considering getting laser eye surgery. Pre-covid I went and got a checkup/eye test with local optician, during which I asked would it be possible for me to have laser eye surgery.

I play sports, which is one of a few reasons why I want to get it, (contact lenses are a no-go as I tried them and have a fear of poking around my eyes). They stated I have astigmatism, eyeball is like a rugby ball instead of a football and that it would be very hard to correct.

Had a consultation with surgeon in Mater Private and they said that I would be able to undergo the lasik or lasek i forget which.

Is it possible to get a third opinion from someone. I find it confusing that one says no and the other says yes, I guess they both want my business?
