Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

There used to be a function where if you hovered over the little envelope-with-an-arrow-in-it icon next to a thread, it would say 'You have 8 posts in this thread' or whatever number it was.

Now if you hover over it, it just says [Dots] [Hot] [New].

Is the function going to return, or is it gone for good?

TBH I didn't realise it returned your own postcount within a thread like that. I can certainly see it, with different tags depending on if it's "new" "hot" or if you have posts (which seems to be the "dots" bit)

I guess it's only one the office or someone from the development team can comment on. The developers do look in on the Site Development forum and I'll move this thread over there (from Help Desk)

    Hi osarusan,

Sorry for the delay. I'm afraid this isn't a function that I use myself, so can I ask when you noticed it had stopped working?

Not long before I started this thread, but it might have stopped working a bit earlier...just happened to notice it.

I would only use it when looking to find my own posts within a thread - it tells me how many, so I know to scroll down to that number when looking at the total 'Who posted?' list

I remember using this feature and finding it useful. It stopped working ~2014: https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin//showthread.php?p=89794269

Mr E's post in that thread shows that the alt attribute of the image tag has the useful information while the title attribute has [Dots] [Hot] [New].

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
