Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How can you resist this, really?

Fried Banana Bites with Nutella Dip

    4 barely ripe bananas
    2/3 cup plain flour
    1 tsp baking powder
    1/4 cup sugar
    a pinch of salt
    1/2 cup ice cold water
    1 cup panko breadcrumbs
    oil for deep frying
    1/4 cup Nutella
    3 tbsp full fat milk

Place flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in a large bowl.
Add in ice cold water a little at a time while whisking the mixture until well combined. Set aside.
Pour panko breadcrumbs in a plate.
    Slice each banana into four.
Heat up oil in a suitable pot to medium high.
Quickly dip a banana piece into the batter, lift and roll it into the plate of breadcrumbs gently until well coated. Repeat the coating process with another 2-3 more pieces. Don't batter and crumb all of them at once and leave them to sit.
Drop the crumbed banana pieces into hot oil, fry for about 3-4 minutes until golden.
    Repeat with the rest.
Make the sauce: gently heat both Nutella and milk, and whisk until smooth.
    Serve. Enjoy!

    It's healthy cause it's fruit.

    Exactly. That's the attitude.
Banana, cocoa, hazelnut, milk... All good for you.

They're Japanese breadcrumb, you can get them in Asian shops or Tesco these days. Super crispy when fried.

    These are fantastic!

They are great as a dessert or for breakfast, which is what we had them for today.
