Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

07 Mini - airbag light - NCT fail

    Hi Folks.

Have a 07 Mini cooper, currently has the airbag indicator light on the dash. It doesn't take much digging around to learn this is a general fault with Mini's, usually due to the sensor underneath the passenger seat which can trip the warning light really easily.

Problem is, any warning light now fails an NCT. I had a 02 Mini previously, same problem. However you could buy a $5 gadget online which switched off the warning. There doesn't appear to be anything available to do that for the later model bar going to a mechanic / dealer. I bought one for the later model which can reset the warning lights, EXCEPT for the airbag which is aparantly on it's own circuit or something.

Anyone out there have this problem and know of any workaround bar paying out to have it reset every time it reappears? Wouldn't bother only it now fails the NCT ffs.

    Cheers

Probably air bag module not overly expensive to sort. Codes need to be read though no getting around it
