Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think this is as good a definition of Insanity as any:

Garland Green: What if I told you insane was working a 50-hour week for fifty years, at the end of which they tell you to piss off. Ending up in some retirement village, hoping to die rather than suffering the indignity of trying to make it to the toilet on time. Wouldn’t you consider that to be insane? (Con Air)

Can you type without looking at the keyboard?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,648 ✭✭✭honeybear

I’m glad you took that insanity question!

Can’t type without looking at the keyboard.

Are you an Apple gadget fan?

    I've heard that too.

If you've seen the movie 'Con Air' which character could you relate to?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,081 ✭✭✭ziedth

I couldn't be friends with someone who hasn't seen Con Air to be honest. Interesting question, Don't think I could see much of myself in any of them but I'll go with Duncan Malloy played perfectly by our own Colm Meaney.

Isn't it a bit of a crime how Colm Meany will be remembered internationally as a guy who played a popular character from Star Trek? What is your Favorite film of his?

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,223 ✭✭✭✭RMAOK

I did like him in the snapper

Would you be a Star trek fan?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,081 ✭✭✭ziedth

Yes, In so far as I watched it when it was on telly at the time and enjoyed it plus most of the films. I'd draw the line there though.

Were you ever obsessed with any TV/Film/Book to the same degree that your stereotypical star trek fan would be?

Maybe Trailer Park Boys for a period..

    Have you seen it?

    Whats your most irrational phobia?

Suppose my greatest irrational phobia would be of drowning. Doesn't help that I can't swim but I'm not actually afraid of water.

Aren't phobias by their very nature, irrational?

Agree to a certain extent. I have a terrible fear of bulls but have had occasions from childhood to a few years ago where they have chased me.

Would you walk under a ladder?

Awh you poor thing. My mam was bitten by a dog when she was young, almost 70 years later and she still fears them.

No, I am terribly superstitious that way. Would rather be safe than sorry is my motto!

    Are you superstitious?

A bit. Was changing my car recently and garage guy thought there was something wrong with me - I told him that I didn’t want the numbers 13 or 666 in my registration!!! Reading that now, he was probably right!
