Temperature has been below freezing since 1 am last night, not quite technically an ice day, but for daylight hours at least. Thick fog all day, East Donegal.

Fog here most of today but at its worst this afternoon and evening. Max temp was at 00.38 when it hit 5.6c but during daylight hours its been 3 to 4c.

Nicely cool and calm with shallow fog here this morning near Tralee. The place was drenched after yesterdays rain with standing water ( still ) in fields. Got nice and sunny during the day with a cool breeze.

6.1c now from a high of 8.2C / low 3.8C

The Air quality in Dublin is very poor today.
No real wind all day.
It was reading 3 degrees on my way home earlier and thickening fog. This evening theres Lots of coal fires contributing to it also.

went for my sat morning constitutional out to poolbeg lighthouse, strong gusty southerlies , plenty of white horses. it was still dark, high tide was 2 hours off but still plenty of spray over the wall, decided not to walk the wall but saw 2 people heading out, thought it was nutty in the dark, I hope they knew what they were doing.

It is the darkest day in Galway city in my memory. There are treacherous looking low hanging clouds in the deepest shade of grey I've seen. I'm right beside the window but I really need the lights on to get anything done today. This has never happened before and everyone else here agrees. It's quite eerie.

Just had 20 or so minutes of significant snowfall in Ashbourne/Ratoath (South East Meath. almost Fingal) area, was pitching, but I suspect it's just slightly too warm and wet for it to stick once the fall stops.
