http://www.autismtrustireland.com has been shut down by Facebook last saturday without any warning!

To be fair, they admit themselves that they were using their facebook page to badmouth other organisations and if they decide to shut down their organisation just because they no longer have a facebook page, then they can't have been a very solid organisation to begin with.

this site got 11,000 hits and the group as you put it were no bad mouthing anyone, it was just asking the right questions, these other Irish Autistic groups to put there cards on the table. One group constantly fundraising never disclosed how much they raised like Peter Kay Concert @ 02 recently?????????

Eric, what you were doing, for literally months, was using a few legitimate questions about Irish Autism Organisations (that had already been researched and raised by others) as a thin veneer over a campaign of throwing your weight around and viciously bullying any individual you came across who did not comply with you on command.

Your page wasn't shut down for making rational challenges to organistions that badly need challenging, it was shut down for constantly abusing individuals.

I personally came across at least one instance where it devolved into simple abuse and blatant cyberstalking of an ordinary Mum running a small parents group with no funds at all, just because she did not like what you were doing and discontinued association with you.

You were not just giving other Autism Organisations a bad name, you were giving the people who are doing the real work of querying the genuine anomalies in some of the larger, wealthier organisations a bad name by association with you.

...and trust me, I am a hardliner *against* the big organisations you claim to have been opposing and your behaviour was doing far more harm than good, every step of the way.

I have NO IDEA why you suddenly started to behave this way but it is NOT acceptable to anyone, on any level.

No Eric, I am afraid I am very much "from the inside looking out" FAR more so than you...to the extent that I actually did a lot of the "research" you have been passing off as your own into the organisations. That is how very far ahead of your nonsense I am.

I am not quite sure *which* of the several ordinary mums (doing their best at their own expense, that you have attacked for basically refusing to go on humouring you) that you are calling "cunning like a fox", but setting up childish little webpages making spiteful personal attacks a child in school would be ashamed of and then posting tiny urls linking them everywhere you can, as you have done, would not be an appropriate approach to Satan himself.

This makes no sense. Facebook don't control your .com site. You can continue to publish anything you like (within legal bounds) to your .com pages. Don't blame Facebook for your decision to stop publishing.

Only time will tell who was right....... never been liked to Satan before but it looks like you have all the answers so the future looks bright for all with ASD and you are Happy that I am gone so celebrate your victory and who knows we may meet in the next life.... Eric, I did not "liken" you to Satan. I said the way you have been abusing people on the internet would not be an appropriate way to treat Satan - a very different thing.

If you had your way (which will never, EVER happen), given some of the kind of people and approaches you support, the only future for anyone with ASD would be a living nightmare...and I mean that very sincerely.

Autism Trust never did anything positive or useful at all.

Autism Trust Ireland have always been a byproduct of your dysfunctional ego, and as such promoted anyone who humored you and condemned anyone who did not as a sole criteria.

Initially some people were genuinely taken in, others tried to be nice and give you a chance. When people are desperate they will try anything and everything -once. But they soon learned you have nothing to offer but your ego for massaging and that unless they played along with you and agreed with every word you said you would throw a tantrum.

Eric - If your main website has useful content, the visitors will come. If, on the other hand, your main objective was the have arguements with people, visitors will stay away. You know you flatter me and we achieved nothing! Tell me of any other group in Ireland who ever put on a Free Conference tell me of any other parents who got a school open St.Gabriel's in Bishopstown through High Court Action we took while our twin Autistic sons were in America. You don't have the clue what you are talking about. Yes we shut down Autism Trust Ireland and we set out at least 85 ID cards to people which these cards were for parents who child or adult with Autism may wander. These were not made to get discounts for disney as some group have or at the airport for ID.If you are traveling all airlines can be rung before hand and if you tell your situation will be happy to accommodate you and your family. Facebook was an very important avenue for us to link people to our website. We were not an Autistic scout movement as some are, but yes they offer a service which gives children an outlet to enjoy themselves but I would be concerned as there is no paper trail with some groups, no openess and transparency. Good luck to you if this is what you want but I am not going to have someone who is just speculating...... and that's all you have done in your post take away from what we achieve.If you want to go on with tunnel vision for the rest of your life then the best of Luck to you. My information was not fictional like yours......

Sadly, in too many cases, they do this just to foist their own questionable agenda on the unsuspecting, however, they usually manage to be reasonably polite about it and make some kind of recognisable sense. I am assured that you did neither.

You sent your twin son's to the "Son Rise" program in the USA. How this was funded has never been publicly disclosed to my knowledge. The "Son Rise" programs is generally condemned as far too expensive and "hard sell", with no evidence of effectuality by most people:

ID cards for eloping autistic kids are all but useless. They need GPS tracking systems.

My sons never went to the Son Rise program in the USA wrong, wrong and wrong.....I think you are making this up as you go along . How can you make comments about the BOC budget this is just all pie in the sky stuff and you are only showing yourself up by printing such wild and fictional stuff. At least one civil lawsuit in 2001 (concerning injuries to Scott Tedman)
