Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Either something on the site changed or there's a bug but it now seems to be possible to search for a marriage with not the person's surname but their spouse's surname. For example if I search for 'Stanistreet' marriages I get 2 results for 1868 and 1873.

    If I now put the name 'Stanistreet' in the spouse's name I get the same results but with the names of the other people in the marriage.

    afaik It's always allowed this, but it's easier to spot when you are searching a rare surname like this.

    You can do the same for mother's maiden on baptisms, except it does not allow this for some areas (or if the couple were CofI).

    For both of these search types, where available, you can try work out the second surname by trying a letter at a time - e.g. if you didn't already know the spouse for Henry S., fine tune his marriage search by going through the letters one at a time for spouses surname until a match shows back up, then add another letter. So when M matches, try adding a,b,c etc... same process for first name..
